Carolyn Robb is a culinary entrepreneur and former chef to the Prince and Princess of Wales.
She was born and raised in South Africa and began to cook at an early age. She attended the Tante Marie School of cookery in Surrey. Then after gaining her diploma in Cordon Bleu Cookery, she moved to Kensington Palace where she worked as chef to The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester.
Two years later, in the summer of 1989, Carolyn secured the position of chef to The Prince and Princess of Wales.
And after 13 years in the royal household, Carolyn Robb left and moved to Dubai. She worked as Project Director for a newly established company called Chef’s Larder.
She also established consultancy and training programmes in the top hotels, which included the famous ‘seven star’ Burj al Arab and Al Maha Desert Resort.
Carolyn has had regular radio and television slots and has written for several publications.
After 15 months with Chef’s Larder, she took up the position of food editor for Time Out. The job entailed reviewing in excess of 50 restaurants a month.
